Get To Know Me...
Hello, and thank you for visiting “Forever Team Paxton.” My name is Shonte Jennings; I was born in Landover, Maryland, and raised in the DMV. I have spent a considerable part of my life in the Upper Marlboro area. Many friendships were created, and many memories were made in “The Meadows."
Some of my interests are traveling, bonding with my family, and most of all, spending time with my dogs Rocko, Marley, and Bailey.
My Story
In 2019, I became a huge advocate for child abuse due to the tragic loss of my one-year-old son Paxton, who was a victim. This incident has affected me in many ways, but I vowed to push through the pain and be a voice for abused children. I’m very active in the area through community outreach. Each year I fund children with school supplies, clothing, and shoes. I sponsor less fortunate families during the holiday season. Most importantly, I created the “Team Paxton Takeover,” where communities come together to raise awareness.

In April 2020, the 1st Annual Team Paxton Takeover was canceled due to the pandemic. However, in 2021 the takeover was a huge success. There were over 150 people in attendance from the local motorcycle, car clubs, and different communities in the area; in 2022, I was blessed to collaborate with Buddy Harrison of “Old School Boxing,” Councilman “Sydney Harrison,” Deputy “Sheriff John Carr,” and States Attorney “Aisha Brave Boy.” The theme was “Join the Fight Against Child Abuse,” another huge success.

Moving forward, I will continue doing community outreach, I will continue empowering families, I will continue being an advocate, and I will continue being a light. Will you be a light to shine on child abuse?
